India Ascending: Yoga Pilgrimage 2019

Over 15 life-shifting days & nights we will pilgrim from the bottom to the top of Mother India, visiting:

  • Sri Ramana Maharshi’s Ashram at Arunachala Hill in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu – the unique mountain that is revered at Shiva himself:



  • Haridwar & Rishikesh, where Shiva channeled the Ganga onto the Earth, right at the junction of Indias vast planes and the foothills of the mighty Himalaya:


  • Dharamsala, seat of the Dalai Lama and center of Tibetan culture in exile, entrance to the actual Himalayan Range:


  • Amritsar, the epicenter of the Sikh movement and home of the Golden Temple:

We will hold daily sadhana with chanting, meditation and delicious Hatha Yoga as well as kirtan sessions whenever it fits.


Day 1 – March 3rd
Arrival and meeting at Chennai airport 3rd of March at Noon – travelling to Tiruvannamalai with private shuttle (4hrs) – Settling into accommodation and first dinner together
Day 2 – March 4th
Morning practice- Breakfast – visit to Sri Ramana Ashrama – Lunch – Free time – Dinner – MahaShivaratri/Great night of Shiva Celebration, Girivalam / 14km Silent Circumambulation around Arunachala Mountain, passing multiple small shrines, the famous Anamalayar Temple of Tiruvannamalai and finishing at Sri Ramana Ashramam for Abishek Puja/ Shiva worship

Day 3 – March 5th

Morning practice – Breakfast – Visit to Sri Ramana Ashrama, Skandashram and Virupaksha Meditation cave on Arunachala Mountain – Lunch at Yogi Ram Surat Kumar Ashram –  Free time – Dinner
Day 4 – March 6th
Morning practice – Breakfast – Visiting Tiruvannalamalai Main Temple – Lunch – Leaving to Bangalore – Flying to Varanasi
Day 5 – March 7th
Morning practice – Breakfast – walk to the Ganga – visit of Kaal Bhairav Shiva Temple – Lunch – Free time – Ganga Aarti – Dinner
Day 6 – March 8th
Sunrise silent meditation & chanting boat ride on the Ganga – Breakfast – Visit to Manikarnika Burning gath – Lunch – Visit of Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple – Free time – Ganga Aarti – Dinner
Day 7 – March 9th
Morning practice – Breakfast – Visit of Triveni Sangnam and Bade Hanuman temple – Lunch – Leaving to Rishikesh in a AC night train (16hrs)
Day 8 – March 10th
Arrival in Haridwar early morning – short taxi ride to Rishikesh – Satsang with Mooji (unless he changes his schedule) – Ganga Aarti – Dinner
Day 9 – March 11th
Morning practice – Breakfast – Sri Prem Baba Satsang – Lunch – Beatles Ashram – Ganga Aarti – Dinner
Day 10 – March 12th
Morning Practice – Breakfast – Sri Prem Baba Satsang – Lunch – Ganga Bath – Free time – Dinner
Day 11 – March 13th
Early Breakfast – leaving for Dharamsala/ McLoedGanj in private shuttle (11hrs ride) – Arrival in the evening – Settling in – Dinner
Day 12 – March 14th
Morning practice – Breakfast – walk in McLoedGanj: exploration of Tibetan Culture – Lunch – Visit of Namgyal Monastery/ HH Dalai Lama’s Temple – Dinner
Day 13 – March 15th
Morning practice – Breakfast – hike to Triund, the foothills viewpoint of the Himalayan Range (3hr) – Lunch and Silent Himalaya Darshan – Hike back – Dinner
Day 14 – March 16th
Morning practice – Breakfast – departure for Amritsar in private shuttle (4.5hrs) – Lunch – visit of Golden Temple – Dinner – leaving to Delhi on AC night train
Day 15 – March 17th
Arrival in Delhi – Breakfast – Departure depending on individual basis/ PaharGanj shopping bazaar


Rates US$1555 (if paid in full by 31 Oct), US$1699 (if paid by 31 Dec 2018) including all accommodation (shared, clean and simple), breakfasts, all transportation within India, including a domestic flight, two AC night trains, and private shuttles. Single rooms $444 extra.

Payment of the second half is due by 31 Oct 2018 for early bird rate.
